Eugene’s story
THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TEXAS. THEIR ADOPTION DONATION IS $575 AND INCLUDES TRANSPORT. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO, AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ADOPTION AND SCREENING PROCESS.
Our process begins with an application. If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home. A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process. Once approved, the dog will be placed on the next available transport, which runs every few weeks and is included in the adoption donation. If you are not able to welcome a dog until a later date, please wait to apply until that time.
We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to help these dogs find homes. If you are not serious about moving forward with the adoption process, please do not apply. If other people in your household are part of the decision, please make sure they are fully on board before submitting an application. This helps ensure we respect everyones time.

Eugene is impossible not to fall in love with. At just 8 weeks old, this handsome Pit Bull mix has a calm, quiet personality and the cutest little overbite that gives him a one-of-a-kind smile. It's the kind of face that makes you stop, laugh, and instantly want to scoop him up for a cuddle. Between his sweet nature and his adorable underdog charm, Eugene has a way of winning hearts wherever he goes.
While we don't know who his dad is, we've included a photo of his mom. Based on her size and breed mix, we expect Eugene to grow into a large dog.
Eugene is being fostered in Austin, Texas, and is available for adoption out of state. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.
Eugene has been raised in a home with children and other dogs, and he's taken it all in stride. He's been around plenty of children and does wonderfully with them, making him a great fit for a family home. He's also fantastic with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to grow up with. He hasn't been introduced to cats yet, so we can't say for certain how he'll do with them as he gets older.
Like any 8-week-old puppy, Eugene is just beginning to learn about the world. He isn't potty trained, crate trained, or leash trained yet, so he'll need a family that's ready to guide him with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Because he's still so young, he'll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help him build confidence, establish routines, and continue his socialization.
Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment, and we want to make sure everyone in the household is ready for the time, patience, and responsibility that come with raising one. The early months are an investment, but they're also some of the most rewarding as you watch your puppy grow into a lifelong companion.
Although Eugene has a wonderfully calm temperament, he's still a puppy and enjoys playing, exploring, and discovering new things. He's at the perfect age to bond closely with his future family and grow into the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you do. And that adorable little overbite? It just makes him all the more unforgettable.
If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate puppy with a calm personality, a heart of gold, and the cutest crooked smile around, Eugene just might be your perfect match. ___
