Our process begins with an application. If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home. A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process. Once approved, the dog will be placed on the next available transport, which runs every few weeks and is included in the adoption donation. If you are not able to welcome a dog until a later date, please wait to apply until that time.

We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to help these dogs find homes. If you are not serious about moving forward with the adoption process, please do not apply. If other people in your household are part of the decision, please make sure they are fully on board before submitting an application. This helps ensure we respect everyones time.

Harvey is one of those puppies whose gentle nature shines from the very beginning. At just 8 weeks old, this sweet Pit Bull mix has a calm, quiet personality that makes her a comforting little presence to have around. While some of her littermates are busy leading the charge, Harvey is happy to take life at her own pace, soaking everything in with her thoughtful, easygoing demeanor.

While we don't know who her dad is, we've included a photo of her mom. Based on her size and breed mix, we expect Harvey to grow into a large dog.

Harvey is being fostered in Austin, Texas, and is available for adoption out of state. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.

Harvey has been raised in a home with children and other dogs, and she's taken it all in stride. She's been around plenty of children and does wonderfully with them, making her a great fit for a family home. She's also fantastic with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to grow up with. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet, so we can't say for certain how she'll do with them as she gets older.

Like any 8-week-old puppy, Harvey is just beginning to learn about the world. She isn't potty trained, crate trained, or leash trained yet, so she'll need a family that's ready to guide her with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Because she's still so young, she'll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help her build confidence, establish routines, and continue her socialization.

Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment, and we want to make sure everyone in the household is ready for the time, patience, and responsibility that come with raising one. The early months are an investment, but they're also some of the most rewarding as you watch your puppy grow into a lifelong companion.

Although Harvey has a wonderfully calm temperament, she's still a puppy and enjoys playing, exploring, and discovering new things. She's at the perfect age to bond closely with her future family and grow into the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you do.
